Drug Launch Sets Records

A successful launch meeting requires the perfect balance of steak and sizzle, especially when it's for something as important as a remarkable new asthma therapy. We supplied plenty of both as the entire AstraZeneca sales force of came together at the unparalleled Fairmont Banff Springs to launch its new drug, Symbicort.

We had five days of engaging business sessions, workshops, speeches by world-renowned specialists, intensive marketing and sales presentations, role play and product knowledge testing, as well as plenty of offsite activities and outdoor fun that can only be had at one of the world's premier winter destinations - Banff.

"A big key to success for any meeting is surprises," explains Invisions creative director, Sandy Kovack. "If you can have an audience constantly wondering 'What's going to happen next?' it goes a long way to keeping them interested and engaged for the entire meeting."

When Symbicort hit the market immediately after the launch meeting, it garnered share and volume numbers far in excess of the company's projections, and continues to do so. While we can't take any credit for that, we're proud to have played a role in launching this amazing new asthma therapy, and helping motivate the sales force to achieve record breaking performance.
